DEVASTATING NEWS

It was revealed this morning (5th April 2006) that the greatest of legends and truest of gentlemen Mr Gene Pitney was found dead in his Cardiff hotel room. He'd been well, performing brilliantly, and there were no signs that he was unwell as he neared the end of his sell-out UK tour.

This news is a complete shock, and devastating to the extreme. For that reason, the webmaster of this site has chosen to take it down until she can compose herself enough to create a tribute worthy of this much-loved - and, certainly now, very sadly missed - singer.
